The theme for Science Week 2019 has been ‘Journeys’. We have been learning about how different materials can reduce or increase friction to make things move faster or slower. We have looked at things that fly or float in the air, and why. We have learned about how electricity needs to travel around a circuit to make things happen and that static electricity can make things move through its invisible force.

Out and about we have worked out which materials can keep us safe, making us visible by reflecting light and we have also been observant out in the natural environment, using Native American skills to make a recording of what we have seen. Finally, but very importantly we have been learning about germs, and how to help keep everyone safe by ‘stopping’ them travelling between people.

Millwood pupils are all Super Scientists!
